WHAT ARE WE?

The Mayday Coalition Project is a non-profit political action organization and an Ohio 501(c)4 dedicated to advocating for policies that uplift working-class Ohioans. What began as a conversation in Cleveland has evolved into a statewide movement, uniting individuals and organizations from every corner of Ohio.

Our founder, deeply rooted in communities across the state, brings nearly two decades of experience in activism to this coalition. While this is her first time leading such an initiative, her commitment to advocacy and community empowerment has been unwavering.

Although our origins are in Cleveland, the Mayday Coalition Project now spans every major city and many small towns, from Columbus and Cincinnati to Toledo, Dayton, and beyond. We continue to grow, strengthening connections and expanding our reach as we build a true coalition of Ohioans committed to meaningful change.

Our work is entirely volunteer-driven—from our governing board and regional leaders to our advocacy and outreach teams and social media creators. We are powered by the passion and dedication of our members.

Above all, we believe in unity and prosperity for all Ohioans, regardless of political affiliation. Our coalition welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, whether traditional conservatives disenchanted with divisive politics, everyday democrats, progressives, LGBTQ+ advocates, union workers, or those fighting for the rights of undocumented migrant workers—an integral part of Ohio’s agricultural and trade industries.

Our mission is clear: through peaceful and legal action, we seek to shape policy, strengthen communities, and ensure that Ohio remains a place where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we are building a better future for Ohioans at both the local and state levels.
